Ceramic membrane is a kind of inorganic membrane, which belongs to the solid membrane material in membrane separation technology. It is mainly made of different specifications of alumina, zirconia, titanium oxide, silicon oxide and other inorganic ceramic materials as the support, coated on the surface and fired at high temperature.
The commercial ceramic membrane usually has three-layer structure (porous support layer, transition layer and separation layer), which is asymmetric distribution. Its pore size ranges from 0.8nm to 1 μ m, and the filtration accuracy covers the levels of microfiltration, ultrafiltration and nanofiltration.
